Tuskegee University on Sunday graduated approximately 500 students during its annual commencement exercises in the Daniel "Chappie" James Center for Aerospace Science and Health Education at 9:30 a.m. According to the Office of the Registrar degrees to be conferred include: the Doctor of Philosophy; Doctor of Veterinary Medicine; Master of Science; Bachelor of Arts; and Bachelor of Science.

Five women were inducted as professional educators at the Annual Induction Ceremony at Tuskegee University held Friday, May 9, at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center. The ceremony, held by the College of Liberal Arts and Education, was part of the University's commencement exercises held this week. The students were addressed by Dr. Joice C.B. Lewis, consultant Macon County School System.

Tuskegee University's Army and Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC) units hosted a joint commissioning ceremony Saturday at 1.pm., at the University Chapel. The Army unit commisioned 2nd Lt. Taria N. Usher of Locust Grove, Ga.  The newly commissioned Air Force officers are 2nd Lt. Taryrece D. Culberson-Swint of Atlanta, Brodrick G. Lockett of Lexington Park, Md., and Jareen D. Stubbs of Los Angeles.

The audience of University staff, students and their families were addressed by Christopher Smith, a 2004 Clinical Lab Science alumnus.
