Annual Scholarships

A.  Definition

Annual Scholarships are awarded to eligible students on a yearly basis. They are awarded for one year and must be applied for or re-applied for each year. These scholarships vary in amount and are sponsored by corporations, individuals, alumni groups and other groups, organizations, foundations, etc. They may be performance-based or need-based.

Basic Requirements:

Each scholarship applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student at the time of application. Additionally, each applicant must meet the criteria for receiving financial assistance per criteria established by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have an active financial aid record on file at Tuskegee University.

Contributions For Annual Scholarships:

Tuskegee University welcomes contributions for “Annual Student Scholarships”. Any amount may be contributed ($100 minimum suggested). Donors may give to the Annual Scholarship Fund as follows:

  1. With no restrictions: Funds to be used for a “Tuskegee University Annual Scholarship”.  The university will set all criteria for receiving these Annual Scholarships.
  2. With restrictions: Consistent with Tuskegee University requirements. The university retains the right to review and approve all donor criteria.
D.  Minimum Requirements for Receiving Annual Scholarships:  
  1. Minimum GPA of 2.75
  2. Sophomore or minimum of 30 credit hours
  3. Full time student
  4. Good financial standings with the university
