In a moving processional by candle light, the 52-member choir, The Golden Voices, entered the chapel with a stirring rendition of “Do You Hear What I Hear.”

Under the direction of Dr. Barr, who has led the choir as director for more than 25 years, the choir delighted the audience with music including “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Sweet Little Jesus Boy” and “Mary Sat A-Rockin’.”

“This talented group of students has a lot on their plates right now,” said Dr. Brown. “Not only are they working hard to prepare for finals, which begin tomorrow, and managing other responsibilities that come with this time of year, they have been rehearsing every evening to bring this beautiful music to us tonight.”

The evening also included a university favorite – an interactive version of “The Twelve Days of Christmas” which divides sections of the audience to each represent one of the twelve days when called upon by designated choir members to sing out with all their might.  This year, the “Two Turtle Doves” section was the clear winner, with a strong second place finish by the “Three French Hens” group which included Dr. Brown.
